72 hours
Damn, it's finally here.
I'm going through all the stuff in my room, throwing just about everything away and I'm realizing that it's....
My last couple nights in Sactown.
I usually would write some odd and tangental post about my night or something that might be bothering me but nevermind. When I read this in the future (cause that's mainly why I write on here), I just want to remember being in Sac and all the good times I had.
I'll be in Las Vegas for New Years Eve with the Altawatys. Flyin' JetBlue for the first time.... hope they're better than Southwest... Still gotta buy my plane ticket for the trip back to SF the week after.
Here's my week
Monday: Move all the big stuff I won't need in SF to storage (mainly all my old clothes), get grades for Psyc 101 squared away (surprisingly, I still have TA-stuff to finish up before I can really be done with school).
Tuesday: Going away dinner at BJ's with all my Sactown homies. Possibly going downtown afterwards for an adult beverage or two.
Wednesday: The big moving day. Everything OUT! Moving only the clothes and things I need to my new abode in SF, and packing my bags for the trip to Las Vegas for New Year's and Riverside afterwards.
Thursday: OAK --> Long Beach -- Jet Blue, Rashad will pick me up, then it's off with my cousins to Vegas!
Be back in SF Jan 5th!

6 years later.
Christmas Eve 2004.
It's really been that long, hasn't it?
I remember that night very well.

300th post. Last week in Sac. Bucket List.
Alright, it's my last week in Sac. Here's an update to my Sactown bucket list from 11/9/10
Raymond Ringl's Sacramento Bucket List
1.Have a nice Thanksgiving dinner with my Psyc homies.
2.Go to Sac INTL and actually see a plane take off and land. (done: 11/8/10)
3. Display a helping behavior to 15 people.
4.Tell girls I thought were cute from my classes that I think they are cute.
⁃ Lindsay from 107
⁃ Samantha from 108
-Kelly
5. Go to Adalberto's one last time.
6. Have a goodbye dinner.
7. Bench 225 8 times with minimal help
8. Get down to 200 lbs.
9.Make sure the people I care about know how I feel.
10. Graduate… DUH
Haha, I don't think I'll be close to #7 or #8 in a week. Although I'll keep trying. #5 will be done on Sunday. #6 will likely be early next week.
Oh, and I *might* be in Vegas for the New Year. Mhmm, that's the right way to start off a new year.
Better start packing.

Listening to:
Oldies, but goodies.
Here's a picture that basically sums up my last 20ish years in a nutshell.
My proud Dad and his son (circa 1990):
My proud Dad and his (college grad) son again (circa 2010):
I wonder what the years to come will bring. It's been a crazy fun ride so far. Life is awesome.

The last week.
Well, here we go... It's the last hurrah.
2 finals on Thursday and I'll be done with undergrad. Finished.

SLO. Pre-Finals Week.
Just went for a quick run. I'm starting to just enjoy the simple act of going out for a run. It's seriously one of the most mind-clearing things you can do, and it just makes you feel more uplifted.
Tonight, (rather, at the ass-crack of dawn tomorrow) Me, Justin, and Sam are driving down to SLO to watch my homie Ricky graduate college. It's amazing, especially since I know that this time next week, I'll be a college graduate. I can't believe that I'm about to accomplish something that I've always wanted to accomplish. I feel so blessed. I'm dedicating my accomplishment to my Lola Pepay, who always stressed the importance of education in my life. I miss her.
Finals week is here. How do you want to remember this moment 1 week from now?

2 years...
So, what's different 2 years later? (an almost direct cut and paste from 2009)
whatever is italicized is what's new from (since) 2009
-I'm 22 now.. Lol duh. :)
-I'm still living on my own... With the help of my parents, of course.
-Different city, different school, different car. (same as last year)
-More experienced; I'd say the last year of my life has been the most eye-opening and enjoyable year I've lived. <-- I can say the same about 2010
-Finally started going to the gym. (So far in over a year, I've dropped about 70 pounds)
-I marched Sac State drumline this past Winter and Fall.
-I'm more appreciative of family, and I'm more in touch with my Dad than I've ever been. (Much more so in 2010.)
-I'm smarter, in an academic sense. Probably wiser too. (Definitely true-er this year after becoming a TA for 2 Psyc classes, and actually doing Psyc research)
-I changed majors. (Still a Psyc major)
-NO MORE BRACES (Straight teeth FTW)
Now, what has stayed the same?
-I'd say I'm still Raymond. I'm still the same guy you've known (or once known).
-I love music & drumming (same as before).
-I still procrastinate ALMOST EVERYTHING.
-I still fall for girls way too easily. <-- Hmmm, this *might* have changed
-I still crack jokes that aren't funny. haha. (My Psyc 101 students can attest to this)
Good or bad, what's different and stayed the same is who I am now. I'm still developing as an adult. It's exciting. (STILL,VERY TRUE TODAY)
So it's been 2 years since I've started this blog. A lot has changed since my first post. I'm very glad that I still have this blog as a way of, "fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it’s worth" (Stolen from Baz Luhrmann's "Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)" song.)
Anyway, today... I finished my last day of college instruction. I have 2 finals next Thursday, and I'll be done with college (undergrad, that is). Graduate school is coming soon.
Friday the 17th, 12pm, Arco Arena. Graduation. I can't wait.

Not even gonna lie.
I am really, really, really full right now. Chipotle.... AND cookies. Best post-workout meal ever.
Oh, and I made a new Twitter account. It shouldn't be too hard to find.
Peace.
