Sitting Outside.

It's a beautiful night. Sitting outside. It's so peaceful. I'm leaving later this morning back to the Bay Area. I don't want to ruin the moment, but I know I still have to pack and clean up my room. I tried something new tonight, something I never thought I'd ever do in my entire lifetime. I want to be able to look back at this night as the night I first tried it. It went better than I thought it would. There I said it, I'm never bashing anyone for their habit again.

Quite honestly, I'm beginning to realize how much me and my father are alike. It must be our genes, since I've barely been around him during my short lifetime. I look forward to seeing him again in July. I love being here. I love how great my family is. They're beautiful.

Road trip with my Dad.

So, I got to see my Dad for the first time since New Year's Day today. So, we decided to go on a short road-trip around the various cities in the LA area. I took a few shots from my iPhone, but most of them were blurry and just bad pics.

Any-who, we ended our trip in La Habra Heights, and visited my Uncle Russ, and Aunt Karen. I played with their dog Duncan who is super hyper every time I see him. He seriously plays fetch like no other dog. Dropped off my Dad at Villa Colima, and drove home by around 10pm. As soon as I get home, I see my cousins leaving the house. I immediately got in the car with them and we had our own adventure to Fruyu and Starbucks. Mmmm... Tasty.

Memorial Day Weekend Synopsis

Ok, so my weekend has been pretty interesting...

Saturday: It was my Lola's 95th birthday, god bless her soul I love her so much. Had a good time. Family parties are the best.

Sunday: Me and my auntie drove from Vallejo to Riverside. I drove about 3/4 of the way there, with a little relief in between. Something about Hwy 5 is just so boring, maybe cause it's a complete desert out there. (Yeah, I was tethering on the road!) We stopped at a McDonald's and stretched. We also stopped in Grapevine, which is a place that I remember always stopping at since I was a kid. It's sentimental to me so we stopped for gas... The night, was interesting, just leave it at that. I don't wanna get into too many details.

Monday: Woke up late from the night before. I went with my cousin Rashad to Temecula to his friend's, dad's, birthday. Got home, and now I'm relaxing. HAHAHA Rashad.

Trying to finish the last 3 pages of Spring semester.

There's something calming about being awake when everyone I can think of is sleeping.

It's 5:20am and I'm trying to finish this last paper. It's the last thing I academically do until September. I'm so tempted to just BS the rest of what I have and go to school and turn in what I have. Oh, and I noticed there's an error on what I wrote in the picture above. Tell me if you know what it is!

Summer vacation is hours away. There's much to look forward to!

Procrastination is the natural assassin of opportunity.

I'm sitting in my room, and for no apparent reason I'm blogging. Rather than finishing my Research Proposal paper, I choose to procrastinate i.e., play Halo 3. I know I can do a fantastic job on this paper but I honestly have no motivation to start it. I mean, I know I will crank it out eventually, but it's not quite crunch time yet. Now the fatigue sets in, which makes every minute I stay awake just a bit more demanding. Just a few more days, and I'll be done with this semester.

The Filipino-American Dream

Started at 1AM

3:25 AM - 3 pages in. Time for a Halo break.

4:00AM - Halo break over. Back to paper.

4:30AM - 4 pages in. It's not hard writing the paper itself, it's just hard not getting distracted.

5:53AM - 6 pages in. Only 4 more to go.

7:08AM - 8.5 pages in. I seem to be running out of things to write even though I have an outline.

7:42AM - 10 Pages. Done with my paper. Just need to do a works cited. First, I'll take a nap. I think I need it.

Writing Papers

Gotta write papers. That's all I need to do. At this point I just wanna crank them out as fast as possible.

Dos

2 more weeks left of school,

the last 2 weeks will entail:

1. 12 page research paper on Filipino aging

2. 7 page research methods paper

3. 2 page book report

4. 2 page paper on an interview of a Muslim on the after-effects of 9/11

5. Take home multiple choice final which includes an 8 page essay on aging in America.

6. Psych methods final

That's pretty much it.

I'm still debating on whether or not I need to go to my Social Psych final anymore, since I already have the grade I want.

Intro to Islam has no final. Yay!

I need class to be over. I have plenty to do tonight, since I can't do it over the weekend.

Tonight

I've got a social psych midterm tomorrow which I need to study for and an extra credit social psych paper due tomorrow also. It's safe to say I'll be up for a while tonight. Better get some energy drinks since I seem to love procrastination.

Ahh, what a fun camp in Templeton, Ca.

Renegades camp was really fun, actually. Best camp we've had to date. I'm really excited about what this year will bring. The drive up and down 101 was pretty lax but was also just REALLY long. I got really sunburnt and my lips are totally chapped/cracked. All in all. A good weekend.

I'm actually looking forward to this week. I get a 4 day weekend since friday classes were cancelled. Thursday through Friday I'll be in Vallejo, then go back to Sac Friday night. I need to make sure I enjoy my weekend because from here on out, I'll be pretty busy throughout the rest of the Summer. Gotta buy tickets for NY in September... which reminds me, I need money!
