It's the new year!

Ok guys, so 2011 turned out to be a pretty cool year. Honestly, I remember looking at the upcoming year in 2010 and thinking to myself, "2011 has the chance to be a pretty crappy year..."

Now that I look back at this year, I realize how great it truly was for me. I got to take time off from school -- in other words, collect myself after graduating from college. NYE in Vegas was pretty cool. Went to the gym like everyday. A few trips to SD this year. A few trips to LA/Walnut/Riverside this year. A Tahoe trip. Bunches of trips to Sac... And my birthday in Sac too! Summer with Matt's family was cool... I had a lot of fun with them over the summer.

But, looking back at the first half of the year, THE defining moment was opening my acceptance letter to SJSU's I-O Program. I remember calling my mother crying with tears of joy that I got in... I was pretty much a baby. Lol.

Since the summer, I moved from SF to SJ. That was a big transition for me... however, it was a pretty fun one. I learned so many new things as a result of moving here. SJ is a new experience to me. It's not quite like Sac was, but the biggest difference is that it's just that -- different. It's nothing like what I thought it would be. I don't have family here. I don't have the same friends I did in Sac. It's just different -- still, I'm not saying it's a bad thing at all. I like it... I think.

Fall semester was a crazy semester. In one word, I would sum up my first semester as a grad student with: procrastination.

Literally, I procrastinated everything. From the start. But it's all good though because I finished with my first 4.0 GPA. It's funny because it's grad school, but it makes sense... I'm studying the field I really love, so why wouldn't I get A's in all of my classes?

And yes, I can't forget about a certain someone that I met in just over in the past month. She's amazingly sweet... :) she really is. She's definitely special to me... and I sorta miss her right now. I can't wait to see you again.

So, actually... 2011 was a great year for me... especially when taking into account that 2011 could have been a really crappy year, I'm going to say that 2011 was a year of new experiences, lots of traveling, and lots of personal development... and overall was a pretty cool year... even more so as the year progressed.

I hope 2012 tops 2011. I mean, life just keeps getting better...
